Josephine Falls

Josephine Falls is a turn off on the right hand side just after Mirriwinni township. There is a 900 meter walk into the falls and it is lush dense rainforest typical of Far North Queensland.

Beginning at the top of Mt Bartle frere Josephine Falls is a favourite spot for tourist and locals alike.

There is another spot nearby called the Golden hole and it is more for experienced swimmers only and you will have to gauge the water level before getting in.

Josephine Falls is great for the whole family, however caution is always advised as live have been lost here due to ignorance regarding water levels and the water intensity. Taking that into account though there is not many places that are more precious and spectacular for a day visit or a spot to visit as you are passing through.
